Terms of Service
Effective September 24, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Social Wealth Builders, LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as MeritFit ("MeritFit," "we," "us"). By creating a profile, buying access, or using collegemeritfit.com, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use MeritFit
You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of each student whose information you enter. Students may not create accounts or buy access themselves. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping access to your email account secure, since we sign you in with links sent to that address.
2. What you buy
- Annual ($79): 12 months of full access for one student.
- Family ($99): 12 months of full access for every student in your household under the same parent email address.
- Upgrade ($20): within 30 days of buying Annual, you can upgrade to Family. Your access end date does not change.
Each purchase is a one-time payment. It does not renew and you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy another year. Buying again while your access is active adds 12 months to your current end date. When access ends, your results, saved schools, and checklist lock; we keep your information so that buying again restores it, unless you delete it. Prices are in US dollars and may change for future purchases, not ones already made.
3. Refunds
If MeritFit is not right for your family, email hello@collegemeritfit.com within 7 days of your purchase for a full refund, no conditions. Refunds go back to your original payment method, and access for that purchase ends when the refund is issued. After 7 days, purchases are not refundable except where required by law.
4. Estimates, not guarantees
MeritFit organizes public information, including federal IPEDS data, colleges' Common Data Sets, state program rules, and colleges' published scholarship pages, into college matches and cost estimates. Everything we show is an estimate for planning:
- Likely, Target, and Reach labels are not predictions or promises of admission.
- Net price estimates and merit or state aid amounts are not offers of aid. Colleges and states set, change, and award aid on their own terms.
- Scholarship details can be out of date or incomplete even after review. Always confirm amounts, requirements, and deadlines with each college and its Net Price Calculator before you apply or decide.
MeritFit is not a college admissions counselor, financial advisor, or lender, and nothing on the site is financial, legal, or tax advice. Decisions about where to apply, enroll, or borrow are yours.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your account or results outside your household, or resell MeritFit or its data;
- use an Annual purchase for more than one student;
- copy, scrape, or download our school or scholarship data in bulk, or use it to build a competing product;
- interfere with the site, test its security without permission, or access other families' information.
We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules. If we end access for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of your purchase.
6. Our content
The MeritFit name, logo, site design, matching methods, and the way we compile and present data belong to Social Wealth Builders, LLC. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use MeritFit for your own household's college planning during your access period. The information you enter about your family remains yours.
7. Links to other sites
We link to colleges' websites, Net Price Calculators, and state aid agencies so you can verify what we show. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Disclaimers
MeritFit is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MeritFit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including tuition costs, lost aid, or admission outcomes, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to MeritFit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and we consent to those courts. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and if a change materially affects a purchase you already made, we will email you. Changes do not apply retroactively to access you have already paid for.
